Shopify Collab Request is a Chrome extension designed to help Shopify Partners, agencies, developers, freelancers, and support teams request Shopify collaborator access faster by saving access profiles, store codes, and workflow settings.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension uses, how it is stored, and how it is protected.

1. Information the extension stores

Shopify Collab Request stores information locally in your browser to make the extension work. This may include:

  • Shopify Partner organisation ID

  • Access profiles and selected permissions

  • Saved merchant store URLs

  • Saved collaborator request codes

  • Default request messages

  • Extension settings and preferences

  • Time-saved estimates and workflow statistics

  • Floating panel position and interface preferences

2. Local storage

Shopify Collab Request is designed to be local-first.

Your access profiles, saved store codes, settings, onboarding progress, and workflow data are stored locally in your browser using Chrome extension storage.

This information remains on your device and is not transmitted to external servers unless required for Premium authentication or subscription verification.

If you uninstall the extension, reset your browser profile, clear extension data, or move to a different browser or device, your saved data may be lost unless you export a backup first.

3. Website content and active tab usage

The extension may read or interact with the current browser tab when you use the extension. This is required so Shopify Collab Request can:

  • Detect Shopify store URLs

  • Open the collaborator request panel

  • Autofill Shopify Partner Dashboard collaborator request fields

  • Apply selected permission profiles

  • Paste or reuse collaborator request codes

  • Launch the correct Shopify collaborator request workflow

The extension does not collect unrelated browsing activity for advertising, profiling, tracking, or resale.

4. Clipboard access

Shopify Collab Request may access your clipboard when you perform a copy or paste action inside the extension.

Clipboard access is used to:

  • Paste a copied Shopify store URL

  • Paste a copied collaborator request code

  • Copy saved store URLs, request messages, or collaborator codes

  • Copy generated workflow content when requested by the user

Clipboard contents are not transmitted to external servers.

5. Data sharing

Shopify Collab Request does not sell, rent, or trade user data.

The extension does not share your saved access profiles, collaborator codes, settings, or workflow data with third parties.

Authentication-related information may be processed by trusted service providers solely for Premium authentication and subscription verification purposes.

6. Premium accounts and subscription verification

Shopify Collab Request includes optional Premium features.

To verify Premium access, users may provide an email address and complete a secure authentication process.

Authentication and subscription verification are provided through trusted third-party infrastructure.

Information used for Premium verification may include:

  • Email address

  • Authentication tokens

  • Subscription status

  • Verification timestamps

This information is used solely for:

  • Authentication

  • Removing the extension from Chrome

You can also manually delete saved store codes, collaborator profiles, and other stored settings from within the extension.

10. Security

Shopify Collab Request only requests browser permissions necessary to provide its core functionality.

These permissions are used to:

  • Save local settings and preferences

  • Interact with Shopify-related pages

  • Manage collaborator request workflows

  • Support Premium authentication features

Permissions are not used to monitor unrelated browsing activity.
