How to install AI sections

Important: Read Before Installing – Shopify AI Sections

What This Product Is

This digital product contains custom AI-generated Shopify sections designed to be installed directly into your theme’s code. Once installed, these sections will appear in your theme editor under Add section → AI generated.

Compatibility Requirements (Very Important)

This product ONLY works with Shopify themes that support AI Sections.

To check if your theme is compatible:

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes
  2. Click Customize
  3. Click Add section
  4. Look at the top of the panel:

✅ If you see “Generate”, your theme supports AI Sections.
❌ If you do not see this option, this product will NOT work with your theme.

Supported Themes

  • Fully tested and supported on Shopify’s free themes
  • Compatible with any theme that supports Shopify AI Sections

⚠️ Third-party themes:
While many third-party themes support AI Sections, visual styling and layout may vary. Because third-party themes are built differently, we cannot guarantee identical appearance or spacing outside Shopify’s free themes.

How to install

AI Section set up Guide

Step 1: Duplicate Your Theme (Required)

Before installing anything:

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes
  2. Click ⋯ → Duplicate

Always install on the duplicated theme.

Step 2: Download Your Files

After purchase, download the ZIP file containing your AI section code.

Unzip the file on your computer before continuing.

Step 3: Open Edit Code

Go to Online Store → Themes
Click ⋯ → Edit code on the duplicated theme

Step 4: Locate or Create the “blocks” Folder

  1. Under Assets, look for a folder named blocks

If it does not exist:

  1. Click Add a new folder
  2. Name it: blocks

Step 5: Create a New Block File

  1. Select the blocks folder
  2. Click Add a new file
  3. Choose Liquid
  4. Name the file exactly as one of the .liquid files from the download

    (example: ai_gen_block_4448022.liquid)
  5. Press Enter

Step 6: Ignore the Temporary Error

You may see:

“File save error: tag schema is missing”

✅ This is expected.

The error will disappear once the full code is pasted.

Step 7: Paste the Code

  1. Open the corresponding .liquid file from your download
  2. Copy all of the code
  3. Paste it into the new block file
  4. Click Save

Repeat these steps for each AI section file.

Step 8: Add the AI Section in the Theme Editor

  1. Go to Customize
  2. Click Add section
  3. Scroll down and select AI generated
  4. Choose the installed AI section
  5. Add and customize as desired

How to uninstall

Remove Section from a Page

  • Open Customize
  • Remove the AI section from the page
  • Save

  • Go to Edit code → blocks
  • Right click & select Delete Permanently
  • Save

FAQ

Theme & Compatibility

Does this work with my theme?

This product works with any Shopify theme that supports AI Sections.

To check compatibility:

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize
  2. Click Add section
  3. If you see “Generate text” at the top, your theme supports AI Sections and this product will work.

Which themes are officially supported?

These AI sections are:

  • Fully tested on Shopify’s free themes
  • Compatible with any theme that supports AI Sections

Because third-party themes vary widely, we cannot guarantee identical styling or layout outside Shopify’s free themes.

Will this break my theme?

No — as long as you follow the instructions and duplicate your theme before installing, your live theme is protected.

If anything looks wrong, you can:

  • Remove the section
  • Delete the block file
  • Revert to your duplicated backup theme

Installation & Usage

Do I need to know how to code?

No advanced coding knowledge is required.

You only need to:

  • Copy and paste code
  • Create a file in the theme editor

Step-by-step instructions and a video walkthrough are provided.

Why do I see a “tag schema is missing” error when creating the file?

This is normal and expected.

The error appears because the file is empty.

Once you paste the full code and save, the error disappears.

Where do I find the AI sections after installing?

After installation:

  1. Open Customize
  2. Click Add section
  3. Scroll to AI generated

Your installed AI sections will appear there.

Can I install multiple AI sections?

Yes.

Each .liquid file corresponds to a different AI section. You can install as many as you’d like by repeating the same steps for each file.

Theme Updates & Changes

If I update my theme, will the AI sections still be there?

Yes — in most cases, updating your theme will carry over the AI sections.

If for any reason they don’t appear after an update:

  • Simply follow the installation guide again
  • Reinstall the section files
  • Add the sections back in the theme editor

Your content and setup can be recreated quickly.

What if I switch themes?

If you switch to another theme that supports AI Sections:

  • You’ll need to reinstall the block files in the new theme
  • Then re-add the AI sections in the theme editor

This is normal behavior for Shopify themes.

Will the AI sections look exactly the same on every theme?

Not always.

While the sections work across AI-compatible themes, styling, spacing, and fonts may vary, especially on third-party themes with custom CSS.

They are designed and tested on Shopify’s free themes for best consistency.

Does this include future updates?

If updates are released:

  • You may need to download updated files
  • Installation steps will remain the same
